![]() | During the building of the chapel, Sir Edward and Lady Hain donated the large stain glass window to the Glory of God, in memory of their daughter, Grace, who died at the age of 15 years. The front door was made of Teak at the cost of £9.76; the all oak choir front, communion rail and pulpit cost £84.50. The Chapel was completed and opened by Sir Edward Hain in 1898. The pulpit Bible and Hymn book were given to the Chapel by Rev and Mrs Wright. The Hain family continued their support by giving the communion table, chairs and collection bags. |
| The Organ started off as a 2 manual organ but in 1924 there was an extra manual added. In 1936, a 4th manual was added making this organ only the 2nd one of its kind in Cornwall, the other being the Organ at Truro Cathedral. At the opening ceremony Rev, Radcliffe, President of the Conference, emphasised the fact that whilst the new Chapel was built for the community and St Ives Congregation, it was more important that it was the place where Christ would be preached as the Saviour of all who believe.
